Who we are

Brantford Water Damage ("we", "us", "our") provides water damage restoration, mold remediation, and basement waterproofing services in Brantford, Ontario and surrounding Brant County. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

When you submit a quote or contact form on this site, we collect the information you provide: your name, phone number, email address, and, where the form asks for it, your service address or city and a message describing your situation. We do not collect payment information through this website.

This website uses Google Analytics (GA4), which sets first-party cookies and collects usage data — such as the pages you view, your approximate region, device type, and whether you click to call or submit a form — to help us understand how the site is used. Google Analytics does not receive your name, email, or phone number. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell your data.

If you use the search box on this site, the term you type is sent to Google Analytics along with how many results it returned, so we can see what visitors are looking for and build pages for it. Please don't enter personal information (like your name, address, or account details) into the search box — it's meant for topics, not personal requests. If a search doesn't find what you need, the page offers an optional email signup so we can let you know when we've published something — that email is used only for that notification.

Analytics cookies are off by default. On your first visit we ask for your consent through a cookie banner, and Google Analytics only sets cookies and collects this data after you click Accept. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which will make the banner appear again.

We also use Ahrefs Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that measures aggregate site usage (such as page views and referring sites). It is cookieless and does not set cookies or collect personal information, so it runs regardless of the cookie choice above.

How we use your information

We use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry, provide quotes, arrange and deliver restoration and related services, and assist with insurance documentation when you ask us to. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing lists you have not asked to join.

Sharing your information with certified service partners

We work with a network of certified, licensed local service partners — restoration companies, drain and plumbing specialists, and related trades — who carry out the work you're requesting. To connect you with help quickly, we may forward the details you provide to one or more of these vetted partner companies so they can contact you directly and complete the service. The information shared may include your name, phone number, email address, service address, and your description of the problem — we share only what a partner needs to respond to your request.

By submitting a quote or contact form, or otherwise signing up with us, you consent to and authorize us to forward the information you provide to our certified service partners for this purpose. If you would prefer we not share your information in this way, do not submit the form — instead, call us at (416) 525-4246 and we can discuss your options. You may also withdraw your consent at any time as described under "Your rights" below, though we may then be unable to arrange service for you.

Our service partners are independent businesses and handle your information under their own privacy practices. We select partners we believe to be reputable and appropriately licensed, but we are not responsible for their independent privacy or business practices.

Service providers

Form submissions are processed by Web3Forms, which transmits your message to our email. This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, whose servers keep standard access logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operations. Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers when loading the site. We also use Google Analytics (GA4) and Ahrefs Web Analytics to measure how the site is used, as described above. Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy. This is separate from the certified service partners we forward inquiries to, described in "Sharing your information with certified service partners" above.

Retention and security

We keep inquiry and job records only as long as needed to provide service, meet legal and insurance documentation requirements, and resolve any disputes — after which they are deleted. Access to customer information is limited to staff who need it to do their job.

Your rights

You may ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent to its use. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date.
